Husker Football Team Scheduled for Three Prime Time Games
The Big Ten Conference and ABC/ESPN have announced that three 2012 Nebraska football games have been selected for prime-time telecasts.
Nebraska home games at Memorial Stadium against Wisconsin on Sept. 29 and Michigan on Oct. 27, and its road game at Ohio State on Oct. 6 will all kick off at 7 p.m. CT. All three of the games will be shown on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2, with the network designation to be made at a later date.
The three Nebraska games are part of 14 Big Ten games selected for prime-time telecasts on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2 or BTN during the 2012 season. The games announced on Tuesday are the only Big Ten Conference home games that will be played in prime time during the 2012 season. No additional night games will be added at a later date.
Nebraska’s Sept. 8 game at UCLA will be part of the Pac-12 Conference television package, and could still be selected for a night telecast. An announcement on that game is expected by early June.
The two night games at Memorial Stadium in 2012 will mark the seventh straight season Nebraska has played two or more prime-time games in Lincoln. Nebraska is 35-5 all-time in night games at Memorial Stadium and has won its last nine prime-time games in Lincoln.
