Doniphan County Commissioners have been asked to consider placing a referendum for liquor by the drink on the November general election ballot.
Elwood City Attorney Joel Euler made the request Monday on behalf of several business owners in Elwood.
The commission took the request under advisement pending discussion with Commissioner David Van Laar who was absent from the meeting.
