The Mound City High School Scholar Bowl Team is having a very successful year. Mr. Eaton talked about a presentation the Board heard from the team. ( play audio :38 )
The Mound City Team also received an invitation to compete in a national tournament. ( play audio :26 )
In other action during the meeting, Board members heard the A-C-T scores for Mound City students were down slightly this year. ( play audio :23 seconds )
The Board also voted to make a change in companies providing bus service to the Mound City school district. ( play audio :39 seconds )
Following a closed session to discuss personnel the Board approved hiring Middle School language arts teacher Kari Seitz as the Junior High Cheer Sponsor; P.E. Teacher Derric Petty to serve as girls varsity basketball coach; Jill Asher as a elementary and middle school teachers aid and Gage Rosier as an assistant boys basketball coach.
