The Auburn City Council met Tuesday evening. The only action taken by the Council was to give favorable comment to a request from Auburn Discount Liquor for a Special Designated Liquor License for a wine tasting event they have planned for May 5th.
Discussion was held by Council members about David Rieger requesting to use his property at 72791, 638th Avenue which is southwest of Auburn for operating a refuse and recycling business. Rieger’s property is outside the city limits, but is likely within the city’s one mile jurisdiction.
There was no action on the final agenda item to forgive and release Auburn Development Corporation of any deficiency of funds under a community development block grant re-use loan.
