04/19/2012

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Aurelien Collin and Kei Kamara scored to help Sporting Kansas City win its seventh straight to start the season with a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps Wednesday night.

Collin finished on a corner in the 24th minute, Vancouver's Martin Bonjour headed into his own net in the 51st minute and Kamara scored in the 65th minute

Sporting KC is the first team since 1996 to begin with seven wins -the Los Angeles Galaxy started with eight straight wins that year, all in regulation during a time when MLS regular season games could go to overtime.

Sebastien Le Toux spoiled Jimmy Nielsen's shutout bid in the 80th minute. It was only the second goal that Kansas City has allowed this season.
