A 5-year-old girl is apparently ok after being bitten by a dog last Thursday.
According to the Nemaha County Sheriff's office, it happened around 4:30 that afternoon, in the 200 block of Jilson, in Bern.
The child did require medical treatment following the incident.
The dog that bit her remains unidentified and authorities are continuing their investigation and search for the dog.

Several Bern residents have reported dogs being allowed to run loose for years. Were always told that nothing can be done . . . unless someone is actually attacked. OK, its happened time to open the season on all dogs!

Bernlady - that comment is completely absurd. If people would take care of their pets, or better yet, not even get them if they cant care for them, these things wouldnt happen. How can you even say to open the season on all dogs? Ridiculous...
