Highland Community College sophomore pitcher Zuzana Kudernatschova from Prague, Czech Republic, is re-writing the College record books for the Scotties this season. Last Thursday, in a 6-0 win against Maple Woods, she recorded her 227th strikeout of the season and her 383rd career strikeout which surpasses the mark previously set by Chenxi Jiao of 220 in a season and 373 career. Currently, Kudernatschova ranks as the top pitcher in the Jayhawk Conference with a record of 17-5 and an ERA of 0.482. She also ranks in the top five in the NJCAA in all major pitching categories.
