A reception is planned Sunday honoring retiring Hiawatha School District Superintendent John Severin.
The community is invited to attend the reception, which will be held from 1 to 4 at the Hiawatha Middle School.
Severin is retiring after 33 years with USD 415, including 19 as superintendent.
Penny Hargrove, the current assistant superintendent of schools at Valley Center, has been hired to replace Severin.
