Falls City and Auburn girls and boys track teams competed in the Plattsmouth Invitational Tuesday.
Team scoring saw Syracuse with the girls’ portion of the meet with 127 points. Auburn was 5th, with 58-and-a-third points, and Falls City placed 9th with nine points.
The boys’ team standings had Blair winning the meet with 102 points. Auburn placed 7th with 48 points, just two points out of 5th place.
Individually, Auburn had a couple double winners on the day. Tierra Williams won both the 100-meter dash and the triple jump. Thomas Hinrichs won both the 110 and 300-meter hurdles.
Also for the Bulldogs, Alex Gonsalves won the boys’ triple jump; Melissa Davison was second in the 1600 meter run and fourth in the 3200 meter run; Jacqueline Frary was third in the girls’ long jump; and Devin Anderson recorded third place finishes in both the boys’ 400-meter dash and 800-meter run.
Falls City’s top finish was turned in by Haley Baxter, who placed third in the girls’ shot put, and Claire Poppe was 6th in the 300-meter hurdles.
