Approximately 20 people attended a meeting of the Pawnee County Planning Commission Friday morning at the Pawnee County Courthouse. Generating the interest was a request from the Pawnee City, City Council to create a wellhead protection area around the City water wells located approximately eight miles northwest of Pawnee City.
Jonathan Bailey, Pawnee County Assessor who handles the administrative duties for the Planning Commission said the issue was tabled on Friday. ( play audio :26 seconds )
