The Auburn City Council will meet Monday at 7 p-m at City Hall.
During the meeting the Council is expected to take action on an appointment by Mayor Scott Kudrna of a 1st Ward Council Member. Following the appointment the Council will elect a Council President.
Other agenda items include various appointments; Don Wright will meet with the Council regarding speed limit sign and slow children playing signs on “M” Street from Highway 136 to 18th Street.
Peru State College Marketing Professor Alan Jackson will also make a presentation to the Council. Jackson is working with the city to design a logo and slogan to help promote Auburn. There will be discussion regarding the Auburn Board of Public Works notifying the Planning Commission of any requests for services outside the city limits of Auburn.
Resolutions to close highways for a parade and authorizing a city credit card will be discussed.
Council members will discuss acceptance of a bid for 2012 Street Improvements and the Asphaltic Concrete Overlay project. During Monday's bid opening, the bid for the project, bids were considerably lower than the engineers estimate.
