Hiawatha Mayor Crosby Gernon has won re-election to another three-year term.
Gernon Tuesday defeated challenger Eric Clary, receiving 71 percent of the votes cast. Gernon received 231 votes to Clary’s 93 votes.
Gernon has served as mayor since 2006.
In Horton, Wade Edward ran unopposed in his bid to retain his position as Commissioner of Streets and Utilities. Edward’s received 55 votes, with seven write-in votes cast.
In Holton, Tim Morris ran unopposed for re-election to a second term on the city commission. Morris received 60 votes, with one write-in vote cast. Only a three percent voter turnout was reported.
