The case against a DuBois man has been moved to District Court in Pawnee County.
Lewis Rakosnik faces 33 counts of felony abuse of a vulnerable adult, two felony charges of attempted abuse of a vulnerable adult, and four misdemeanor charges of attempted felony abuse.
Rakonsnik was arrested January 31st, following a five-month Nebraska State Patrol investigation. Authorities say Rakosnik stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from his elderly uncle over an 11-month period.
Pawnee County Court Judge Curtis Maschman transferred the case to District Court after finding sufficient evidence during a preliminary hearing.
Rakosnik is to be arraigned in Pawnee County District Court at 9:00 a.m. on April 16th.
