The project to get ADA required elevator in the Atchison County Courthouse is one step closer to starting.
Commissioners held a pre-bid meeting with River Bluff Architects during Wednesday’s meeting.
County Commissioner Jeff Schuele says bids are to be received by March 21st.
Commissioners hope to open those bids that next week with a 200 to 240 day window to complete the project thereafter.
They are also taking steps to find the best applicant for the vacant Emergency Preparedness, EMS Director and Noxious Weeds supervisor.
Schuele says some commissioners plan to get further information before talking to applicants.
