Citizens of Effingham will see new co-managers of their pool this summer.
In their regular monthly meeting Wednesday night, the Effingham City Council approved the managerial contracts for Lindsey Wilmoth (Wil-Mooth) and Julie Dillon for 8.50 and hour.
According to City Clerk Pat Strine, the decision to have co-managers was made due to the managers being unable to fit the demand of a full-time schedule individually.
The council also put a wage freeze on lifeguards this year.
The council gave the co-managers authority to hire or renew lifeguards at a wage of 7.50 an hour.
In other business, Atchison County Sheriff John Calhoon met with the council to address their request to have increased enforcement of traffic laws.
Strine says the Sheriff gave the council a vow to increase deputy patrol in Effingham.
