Two additional Nemaha County ( KS )officials have filed for re-election.
Sheriff Rich Vernon, a Republican, is seeking election to a second four-year term.
Vernon was appointed as sheriff in January 2006 to fill the unexpired term of the late David Mee and then won election in November of that year.
Register of Deeds Roxann Holthaus, a Republican, is seeking election to the position she was appointed to in May 2007 following the retirement of Mary Ann Holsapple.
All county offices, except that of 1st district commissioner, are up for election in November.
Candidates have until noon, June 1st to file.
