A major local move, originally set to happen Thursday, is on hold for the short term, as required assistance is not currently available.
At issue is Grimm's Gardens recent purchase of the former Frontier Farm Credit Building, located on the West Edge of Hiawatha.
Kurt Grimm tells us it will be relocated to the site of his business, near Morrill, for use as additional space(Play Audio :09 seconds)
However, Westar energy is needed to oversee power lines in the path of the move; and, with the power company currently at work in storm ravaged areas of the state, Grimm says the planned Thursday move is on hold(Play Audio :19 seconds)
When the move does happen, along U.S. Highway 36, traffic will be affected, but provided law enforcement assistance will help to alleviate the situation(Play Audio :13 seconds)
Traffic, and intersections, will have to be blocked when the move is made.
We'll keep you informed of the situation, and work to provide you with details, including the date and time of the move, once determined, to help alleviate traffic delays.
