A two-vehicle accident in Jefferson County late Saturday morning sent two people to the hospital--including an Ozawkie woman.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Tina Roberts was traveling west on K-92 when a northbound pickup truck on Ferguson Road driven by 23-year-old Christopher Lovett of Fort Riley failed to yield the right of way and was struck by Robert’s sports utility vehicle.
Roberts was transported to the K-U Medical Center in Kansas City with disabling injuries.
A passenger in her vehicle, 5-year-old Eli Roberts of Ozawkie, suffered possible injuries. However, according to the accident report, he wasn’t transported to a hospital.
Lovett was transported to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka with possible injuries.
The Patrol says all the occupants were wearing seat belts.
The accident was reported shortly after 11 o’clock Saturday morning.
