The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department is on the lookout for a white 1999 or 2000 model Jeep Grand Cherokee believed to be a getaway vehicle for a burglary at a Winthrop gas station.
According to Sergeant Mike Hess, the vehicle potentially has front end damage to the front passenger side.
He says Sunday morning around four, two males of an unknown race used a landscaping brick to shatter the front door of the Fiska gas station located at the Missouri foot of the Amelia Earhart Bridge.
Hess says the individuals only took cigarettes from the gas station there is no other damage to the building outside of the door.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the getaway vehicle is urged to contact the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 816-238-TIPS.
