A 22 year old Atchison man will have a preliminary hearing February 29th on felony battery of a law enforcement officer and misdemeanor interference with a law enforcement officer charges.
Brandon Vandever opted for the prelim Friday in Atchison County Court.
The incident is alleged to have occurred while he was serving another sentence in Atchison County Jail on October 29th.
According to the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department, Vandever allegedly shoved a corrections officer repeatedly during an interaction.
He is currently out on 20 thousand dollars bond.
