The Benedictine Ravens split their two games with Culver-Stockton College Thursday evening in the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
Too many turnovers (24) and strong shooting by the Lady Wildcats (44.9%) cost the Lady Ravens as they suffered their second consecutive loss at the hands of a conference opponent 58-49. Benedictine was without their leading scorer Kelsey Wolfe (Sr., DeKalb, MO) who was sidelined with a leg injury. The only BC player to reach double figures was Kelsey Anselmi (Jr., Olathe) who scored 10. Benedictine is now 12-11 and 7-5 in HAAC play.
The Raven men raced to an early lead and never looked back as they cruised over C-SC 72-33. Forward Charlie Wallrapp (Soph., Omaha) had a game-high 13 points and John Anaekwe (Fr., Shawnee) added 10 from the bench. Benedictine (13-10, 8-4 HAAC) got scoring from 12 players on the night.
Next up for the Ravens is a road trip to Olathe to face Mid-America Nazerine this Saturday afternoon. The women tip-off at 2:00 and the men at 4:00 with both games live on KAIR 93.7.
