The Hiawatha Chamber of Commerce honors a local resident.
During the Chamber's Annual Meeting Thursday evening, outgoing Chamber Board President Jeremy Stover presented the Chamber's " Person of the Year" award to Jeri Shaefer for his involvement with Boy Scouts... ( play audio )
Stover noted that Shaefer has been active with Hiawatha Boy Scout Troop 113 and the Pony Express Council of Boy Scouts of America.
Stover was presented with a plaque for his service as board president.
The new Chamber President is Gretchen Randall with Heartland Realty.
