A special meeting of the Mound City Board of Aldermen has been scheduled for 12:30 Thursday afternoon.
The council will consider an ordinance calling for a public election on the question of whether to issue general obligation bonds.
The board discussed whether to issue general obligation bonds as a way to finance repairs to city streets during last week’s regular January meeting. Mound City officials need to notify the Holt County Clerk’s office by January 24th if they plan to hold a public vote on the issuance of general obligation bonds.
Aldermen also plan to consider action on the street overlay project during Thursday’s special meeting.
The special meeting is open to the public. Copies of the ordinance to be considered are available for public inspection prior to the meeting in the Mound City Clerk’s office.
