Events Planned Thursday at Stalder Gallery
03/25/2014

(KTNC) -- There will be two events at the Stalder Gallery in the Falls City Library and Arts Center Thursday evening.
University of Nebraska Associate Professor of Art Elizabeth Ingraham is bringing her statewide project, called “Mapping Nebraska,” to Falls City. As part of the project, Ingraham will lead a workshop at the Library beginning at 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
Participants will be able to share their feelings about Nebraska, using their own words, visual descriptions, photographs, fabrics, and paper. Visitors can use their own supplies or use the ones provided. Selected pieces from similar workshops across the state will be included in a special exhibition at the Sheldon Art Gallery.
The event is free and open to the public, though children must be accompanied by an adult. Learn more at

Then at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Sheldon Assistant Curator Sarah Feit will give a talk on the Statewide Exhibition, “Picturing Nebraska” that is currently in the Stalder Gallery. The Sheldon Statewide Exhibition will be at the Stalder Gallery through April 6.
Both projects – Picturing Nebraska and Mapping Nebraska – are being coordinated by the Richardson County Arts and Humanities Organization.
