Over 100 Dogs Participate in Soggy Doggy Day

Many dogs were like this one and shook the water off after competing in Atchison Lions Pool for the third annual Soggy Doggy Day.

Eighty-one families and 110 dogs participated in the event.

That was “Porter,” a two-and a half year old German short hair owned by B.J. Speer.

…and Porter was able to take home the gold in the large dog longest jump.

Other winners included the Soggy Doggy Queen, Mona, an American Bulldog owned by Wendy Cousins and King, Dakota, a West Highland White Terrier owned by Cara Speer.

Small-Medium Dog Longest Jump winner was Clair, owned by Trey Cocking.

Talent gold medal winner was Mia, owned by Jentry Seichpine.

Fetching Contest gold medal winner was Rudy, owned by Tony Jones.
