(KLZA) Peru State College has announced the recent hiring of Monte Ritchie, a Nebraska City native, as a graduate assistant with the men's basketball program. In addition, Ritchie will have duties with Residence Life on campus.
Ritchie graduated from Nebraska City High School in 2007 and this past spring, completed his bachelor's degree in special education from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. During his time at UNL, Ritchie served as a student manager for the Huskers' basketball team under head coach Doc Sadler. Also, for the past three summers, Ritchie has coached for the Nebraska Select AAU Program which develops talent from across the entire state.
