It's a good day shaping up for Auburn at the Nebraska State Track Meet in Omaha. As of mid-day, the Bulldogs have captured three state titles.
Tierra Williams won the Class B Girls' 100-meter dash, the first of her three events today, in a time of 12.27 seconds. Williams will also run in the 200-meter final, and will compete in the triple jump.
Thomas Hinrichs captured Class B gold in the 110-meter high hurdles, with a winning time of 14.88 seconds.
The day started with senior Alex Gonsalves winning the Class B long jump title, with a distance of 22'1.75". That was just three-quarters of an inch better than second place finisher Jakob Schlager of McCook.
