The Peru State football team got out to a big lead and cruised to their second victory of the season, 48-21, over Culver-Stockton College Saturday afternoon.
Fullback Ryan Ludlow led the Bobcats offense with 166 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Quarterback Bo Shepard added one rushing touchdown and passed for another score.
Peru State had 243 yards rushing while holding Culver-Stockton to just 64 yards on 35 carries. The Wildcats out-gained Peru State through the air, 251 yards to 67.
The win gives Peru State a 2-1 record, and evens their record in the Heart of America Athletic Conference at 1-1. The ‘Cats have this week off before traveling to Atchison, Kansas
