(KLZA) A Richardson County truck is totaled, and the county employee behind the wheel escapes serious injury in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday morning.
58-year-old Steven Darveau of Barada was hauling rock from a quarry back to Richardson County when the accident occurred about five miles east of Mound City, Missouri on Highway 113.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, Darveau was westbound in the 2013 International semi truck when he drove off the side of the roadway and struck a concrete culvert. The truck continued on and overturned onto its passenger side.
Darveau was transported by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with minor injuries.
