Roy Winkler and Pork Chops Recount the 2025 Pony Express Re-Ride

Roy Winkler and Pork Chops carried the mail 8 or 9 times over the course of the 20 some hours we were gone for the Pony Express Re-Ride. He was running hard yet at the end, which says he loves his job! The best stretch was between Summit and Seneca while it was still pretty cool. All the riders on that stretch had fresh horses and could ride hard and fast. They gained all of the 3 hours that they needed to get back on time before Seneca coming in at the scheduled 9:00 AM.
