Hiawatha Students Learn the Applications of Microbes
Hiawatha Public School students in 7/8 STEM in the Real World class have been working on learning applications of microbes. This week, we had Amy Elliott from Amberwell Lab Services come and help us with an experiment. Students had four different samples of food, two which had sat out all night. Amy taught students how to culture bacteria, differences in agar plates and identifying bacteria forms once it grew. She even had slides of our bacteria to look at under a microscope. Thanks Amy!
