Hiawatha Kids Raise Money Selling Corn For Local Charities
Three youngsters in Hiawatha have spent part of their summer raising, picking and then selling corn, only to then turn around and give that away to three different local charities or non-profit organizations in their community!
Kamrie, Rory and Landrie Wilson, the children of Paige and TJ Wilson of Hiawatha recently sold their home raised corn at their lemonade stand raising over $600 for local organizations.
Each kid donated $201 to an organization of their choosing.
Kamrie chose the Brown County Ministerial Alliance.
Rory chose Brown County Developmental Services (BCDS) in Hiawatha.
And Landrie chose the Brown County Sheriff's Department.
All three kids delivered their donations on Tuesday the July 9th and they all agreed that it was the best day of the summer! Great job kids!
