Judith "Judy" Clara Bodenhausen, 79, of Lancaster, Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family. She most recently resided at Homestead Assisted Living in Eudora, Kansas.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Oct. 21st, 2025, at the Camp Creek United Church with Rev. Seth Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Camp Creek United Church or the Camp Creek Cemetery and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is helping with the arrangements. Judy was born on August 7, 1946, in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Beryl A. and Virginia F. (Walz) Hundley. She graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1964. She worked for a short time at the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She married the love of her life, Dennis Bodenhausen, on March 27, 1966, at Camp Creek Church and together they built a beautiful life and home in Lancaster. Judy was a devoted homemaker and worked side by side with Dennis milking cows and helping with the family farm.

Judy's life was centered around faith, family, and community. She was a dedicated member of Camp Creek United Methodist Church in Cummings, Kansas, where she enjoyed fellowship and service as a Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer for the church, and serving on the Pastor Parish Committee. Known for her warmth and kindness, Judy had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome.

She loved cooking, baking, sewing, and tending to her garden. Her lilacs and peonies were among her favorites, and her kitchen was always filled with the comforting smells of something homemade. Above all, Judy adored her family and treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her husband Dennis, daughter and son-in-law Cindy (Todd) Dilley, Lawrence, KS, son and daughter-in-law Scott (Jennife) Bodenhausen, DeSoto, KS, and her cherished grandchildren Jakob Bosnak, Andrea Morris, Kaitlyn Bruce, Sydney Dilley, Carly Bodenhausen, and William Bodenhausen. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Evelyn and Micah Bosnak, Emery and Lyla Bruce, and Vivian Morris, as well as her sister Karen (Robert) Neill, sister Dede (Steve) Caplinger, and brother Allan (Diana) Hundley. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Sherry Gross and Anita Chalfant.

Judy's legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
