Marilyn Rae (Woodruff) Willich of Mercier, Kansas passed away on September 23, 2025, at Midland Care Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Marilyn was born to Norval B. and Mildred L. (Gallop) Woodruff on August 22, 1949, at the Horton Hospital. She graduated from Horton High School in May of 1967. Marilyn married Thomas H. Willich, June 12, 1971.
Marilyn had various jobs over the years but her most recent was at Just For You Jewelry & Gifts in Hiawatha, Kansas where she gained treasured friendships with her coworkers. She was an avid reader. She is most known for her kind heart and ability to make everyone feel welcome, taken care of, and loved. Her greatest joys were spending time with family.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Linda (Woodruff) Schuetz.
She is survived by her husband ,Tom; her daughter ,Staci (Adam) Weingartner of Ottawa, Kansas, and her son, Casey (Crystal) Willich of Horton, grandchildren Addison (Rylee) Weingartner, Ottawa, KS, Alicyn Willich, Manhattan, KS, Alex Weingartner, Lawrence KS, Tyler Willich, Horton, KS, and Alexis Willich, Horton, KS and great grandchildren Arthur and Claire Weingartner of Ottawa, KS. Other survivors include her brother Gary (Carolyn) Woodruff, Topeka, KS, and her sisters, Beth (John) Reece, Parker, Colorado, and Gale (Jim) Currie of Horton, KS.
It was Marilyn's wish to be cremated. Graveside and interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Mercier, KS on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00, friends and family are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Midland Care Hospice House, Topeka, KS.
