Beverly "Babe" Jean Koopman, 91, of Falls City, Nebraska passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Falls City surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 27, 1933, at home in rural Union County, South Dakota to Ralph and Margaret (Hoffman) Heyl. Beverly graduated from LeMars Community High School in LeMars, Iowa. Beverly was united in marriage to Ray Koopman on June 2, 1953. He passed away on August 18, 2018.

Beverly worked various jobs throughout her lifetime. She was a homemaker, worked in retail, and helped in the kitchen at Falls City Middle School. Beverly was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, WIBC Bowling Association, and Ladies VFW Auxiliary #1765. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing, going to the casino, Huskers Football and Volleyball, and the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their sports.

Beverly is survived by her 3 children: Jean Hodge and husband Mark, Jerry Koopman and wife Laura, all of Falls City, Carla Bachman of Bentonville, AR; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Florence Swain of Sioux Falls SD; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray, great-grandson, Easton Vonderschmidt; son-in-law Alan Bachman, sisters: Donna, Eleanor, and Dorothy, and brother Milton.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Falls City. Inurnment will be at the Falls City Catholic Cemetery at a later date. A register book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Hall Funeral Chapel in Falls City. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Falls City with the family greeting friends following the rosary. Memorials contributions are suggested to the family's choice in care of the mortuary.
