Kenneth "Wayne" Goodlet, 82, of Rushville, MO, died on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 3rd, 2025, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested the Sugar Creek Cemetery or the University of Kansas Cancer Research Center and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Wayne was born on February 7, 1943, in Atchison, KS the son of George Russell and Anna Mae (Large) Goodlet. He graduated from North Platte High School in 1961. Wayne was a farmer and cattleman and also worked as a machinist for LFM/Rockwell/ Atchison Casting Foundry until retiring in 2004. He was a member of the New Home Baptist Church, Halls, MO and enjoyed raising horses, cattle and farming.

He was married to Janice Rains on Nov. 4, 1962, at Short Creek Baptist Church, Rushville, MO. Janice preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 2016. Additional survivors include a son, Christopher "Todd" Goodlet and his wife Tracy, Rushville, MO, a grandson, Colton Goodlet, Kansas City, Mo and his sister, Lin
