Ronald M. Stous died Sunday, June 22, 2025 of acute leukemia at the age of 86.

Ron graduated from Holton High School in 1956 and attended Washburn University and Emporia State University. Ron proudly served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 1959-1965. He began his insurance career with Northwestern Mutual, Bankers Life & Casualty and went on to finish his career as an Independent Senior Market Insurance Salesman.

Ron spent most of his life as a member of Countryside United Methodist Church. He volunteered on many boards and Let's Help. He was a member of the YMCA for almost 60 years.

He enjoyed his free time over the years golfing, hunting, playing handball, gambling and following his grandkids' numerous sporting events and activities.

Ron married Nancy S. Sigg on November 10, 1963 in Topeka, KS. They celebrated over 61 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Stous; three sons, David Stous (Wendy) of St. Albans, VT, Kevin Stous (Penny) and Kris Stous (Angela) both of Topeka, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Daniel Stous (Jazmin) of N.C., Rachel Stous, Samuel Stous, Lauren Stous and Morgan Stous all of Topeka and Joshua Labonte and Shane Vincelette of VT and his cousin "brother", Bill Mercer of Ennis, MT.

He was proceeded in death by parents Clarence L Stous & Lois H Stous (Horner), brother Clarence Stous, Jr and sister Thelma "Tizzy" Christey.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
