Robena Faye Seever, 96, of Atchison, KS died on Monday, May 19th, 2025, at the Medicalodge of Atchison.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 27th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Muscotah Cancer Support Group or the First Christian Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Robena was born on Sept. 20, 1928, in Lancaster, KS the daughter of Will and Margaret (Wempe) Nickels. She graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1946. Robena worked as a salesclerk for the former Ramsey Department Store and Litwin's. She later worked as a cottage parent for 15 years at the Youth Center, Atchison, KS. She was a member of the First Christian Church, where she served as Deaconess and was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. Robena was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years and enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, and playing Skip-Bo.
She was married to Stanley O. Seever on July 4, 1948, in Effingham, KS. Mr. Seever preceded her in death on Feb. 8th, 2015. Survivors include three daughters Carolyn (Ron) Kuhn, Olathe, KS, Helen Ashton, Horton, KS and Rosalie Fox, Topeka, KS, six grandchildren, Shelly (Jeff) Knowles, Cyndi (John) Danford, Todd (Amy) Kuhn, Mindy (Mike) Rush, Becky (Ron) Barton, and Corrie (Matt) Howell, numerous great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Her parents, husband Stanley, son-in laws Dennis "Ben" Ashton, and Rex Fox, and a sister Roberta Daniel preceded her in death.
