Michael D. Sullivan, 70, of Horton, Kansas passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas.

He was born on March 26, 1955, in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of Glenn Elmer & Grace May Howland Sullivan. When Mike was a teenager, he had an incident that caused paralysis on his left side. He had to wear a brace to be able to walk. Mike never let his handicap stop him from doing things for our Lord or people in need. Mike worked hard helping people in so many ways, mowing yards, getting groceries etc. when Mike was able, he worked at the Golden Eagle casino. He enjoyed reading, playing cards and loved bowling. Mike was an Elder at the First Christian Church in Horton.

He was very proud of his son, Michael J. Sullivan, he survives of Holton, Kansas. He is also survived by his siblings Jeannine (Tom) Bechtold, Glenda (Richard) Butner, Reuben Sullivan, Walter Sullivan, Judy (Gene) Hetz, Gary Sullivan, and Nellie Brockhoff. Mike was so loved by his sister-in-law, Kimberley Fendley Cummings of Shell, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings who died in infancy and Mervin Sullivan, Don Sullivan, Ray Sullivan, Kathy Boaz and Vivian Sullivan and two sisters-in-law, Lavonne Sullivan and Linda Sullivan.

A family visitation will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2024, from 6:00-7:30, at the First Christian Church in Horton, please enter the West door coming into the basement. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Prairie Home Cemetery, 3430 NW Menoken Rd, Topeka, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Horton, Kansas or the Midland Hospice House of Topeka, Kansas and can be sent in care of the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas.
