William 'Bill' Edward Myers, 86, of Everest, Kansas, passed away in his home while caring for a new calf, on Friday, February 21, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Old Huron Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Old Huron Cemetery and can be sent in care of Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Bill was born on March 15, 1938, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Roy and Mary (Elias) Myers. Bill was an Army Veteran enlisting in June of 1962. Bill married Edythe Behler on August 18, 1973, they were married for fifty-one years, Edythe preceded Bill on June 2, 2024. Bill was a lifelong farmer and worked at Atchison County Transfer Station. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion and was on the Old Huron Cemetery Board. Bill had many talents and hobbies, among those he enjoyed Gyrocopter building and flying, hunting, fishing, noodling, rattlesnake hunting, and woodworking. He also enjoyed hosting fish frys for family and friends.

Bill is survived by sons Raymond H. Albright, Atchison, Kansas, and Roi C. Albright, Everest, Kansas, daughter Cheryl (Mike) Petesch, Atchison, Kansas, brother Roy 'Brother' Myers, Atchison, Kansas, sisters Helen J. Green, California, and Dora (Homer) McCoole, Atchison, Kansas, twelve grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous of nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded by his parents Roy and Mary, wife Edythe, sister-in-law Mary Myers, brother-in-law Ben Green, and grandson-in-law Travis Dodson.
