Kevin James Foley, 67, of Valley Falls, KS, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his home, with family by his side. He was born December 13, 1957 in Topeka, KS, the son of Paul Eugene and Laura Jane (Hefty) Foley.

Kevin graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1976. He worked for Hamm Quarries for over 28 years. He owned and operated Foley Service with his brother (Rex) in Valley Falls for 5 years.

He was a member of Valley Falls City Council and Valley Falls Lions Club.

Kevin enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and trapping. He loved being outdoors.

He married Leeta (Steinmetz) Dolsky in 1979, they later divorced. To this union they shared two daughters, Crystal and Lori.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Crystal Foley of Peyton, CO and Lori Foley of Colorado Springs, CO; step-daughter, Jennifer Chockley of Lawrence, KS; sister, Rhonda Mitchell (Ray) of Valley Falls, KS; brother, Rex Foley (Linda) of Valley Falls, KS; 5 grandchildren, Logan and Shayden Guerrero, Wyatt and Garrett Hundertfund and Kenneth “Willie” Ray.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Laura Foley and a brother, Kent Foley.

Family will greet friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be given to the Jefferson County Hospice c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
