Benjamin "Ben" E. Walters, 57, of rural Tecumseh, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at CHI St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.  He was born to Troy and Elizabeth (Wadley) Walters, Sr. on August 17, 1967 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  

He is survived by his wife Rachel, son Jonah and wife Jordan Walters and daughter Emma Walters, of Tecumseh, twin-sisters Charlene Groeling and husband Keith of Pawnee City and Marlene Witt and husband Ron of Lincoln and brother Troy Walters, Jr. and wife Cindy of Elk Creek, mother-in-law Ronna Buerstetta of Tecumseh, sister-in-law Susan Colson, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, heaven born brother Erwan Walters and father-in-law Jon Buerstetta.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Pastor Hugh Giesbrecht officiating. The service will also be livestreamed on the Wherry Mortuary Facebook page for those unable to attend. 

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska. 

Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

Inurnment will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska with full military honors by the American Legion Post #370 of Elk Creek.
