Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Edie

Kenneth Lee Edie, born on February 3, 1950, in Highland, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2024, in Robinson, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louise and Kenneth A. Edie, daughter Jenny Edie, sisters Connie Edie, Brenda Trainer, Kathy Leeper and his brother Gary Edie. He was a devoted husband to Glenda Edie and a loving father to his two sons, Mark and Adam. Kenny was a proud grandfather to Daylon and Jacob, who brought immense joy to his life.

Kenny served honorably in the Army and the National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to his country. He worked at the rock quarry at Sparks for a number of years prior to a successful career as a machinist, where he was respected for his skills and work ethic. In addition to his professional achievements, he contributed to his community by serving in the veterans honor guard and the volunteer fire department, showcasing his dedication to helping others.

Known for his kind and loving nature, Kenny had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met. He is survived by his wife Glenda, sons Mark (Megan Kincaid) and Adam (Jamie), grandsons Daylon and Jacob, his brother Ronnie, and sister Mary. Kenny's warm spirit and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Ken’s eternal life is planned for 2 p.m. Friday, October 18, at the Eternal Hope Worship Center, Hiawatha, with Pastor Rich Lehmkuhl officiating. Military honors a courtesy of the Brown County Veterans Honor Guard. Cremation will follow with private inurnment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Robinson.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Thursday where the family will gather from 6 until 7 that evening.
