Anna Marie Ray, 71, of Winchester KS., died, Monday October 7, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. 

She was born September 19, 1953, the daughter of Melbern Regis and Evelyn Louise McCoy Schneider. She was a 1971 graduate of Jefferson County North High School, where she played Softball for the Chargers. She worked many years as a cook, working at Village Villa, owning and operating Annie’s Café and cooking at Jae’s Place for the last 13 years. She will be remembered as always building things and working outside. 

She married Albert, “Al” “Archie” Ross Ray, May 27, 1972. He preceded her in death in May of 2021. Survivors include one son, Travis (Casey) Ray of Winchester, 4 granddaughters, Jaelyn, Bailey, Jordyn, Taylor., and two brothers, Cliff Schneider, Winchester, and Randy (Amy) Schneider, Nortonville. 

Funeral services are 11:00 AM Friday at the Barnett Family Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Cremation will be following services. Private family inurnment will be at Plum Grove Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Friends Of Hospice, and sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, PO Box 602, Oskaloosa KS 66066
