Kathleen Ann Corning, 79, of Toms River, NJ died on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, KS. Cremation services were completed by the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.  Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Kathleen was born in Brooklyn, New York on Oct. 19, 1944, the daughter of Edward Franklin and Marie Eleanor (VonGerichten) Brower.  She graduated from Central Regional High School, Bayville, NJ in 1963.   She worked as a clerk and bank teller for First National Bank, Toms River, and later as a office assistant for the SRS office for 10 years.  Kathleen was a member of the Eagles Lodge, and the American Legion Auxiliary.   She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was married to Robert Daniel Corning on Oct. 22, 1992, in San Diego, CA.  Mr. Corning preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2018.  Survivors include a son, Edward (Matt) Besosa, Ft. Bragg, CA, a daughter Cindy (Timothy) Herrod, Savannah, MO a step son Steven (Tammy) Corning, Atchison, KS, two step-daughters Kate (Rick) Jones, and Kim (David) Blasi, both of Atchison, KS., two sisters Eleanor Lasko, Wharton, NJ and Karen McCutcheon, Bayville, NJ, three grandchildren, seventeen step grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
