Martha Elaine Tollefson, 73, died September 25th, 2024 in Manhattan, Kansas. She was born to Ray and Elaine Talbot in Montrose, CO on July 16, 1951.

Martha lived most of her life in Kansas. After graduating high school in Great Bend, KS she continued to Atchison, KS where she attended school to become an LPN. She raised two sons in rural Hiawatha while spending many years working as a School Nurse, a Paraprofessional educator, and for a time owned, and operated, her own bakery. She was a member of many social and church organizations through the years where she enjoyed serving others and good times with great friends.

Martha loved to laugh! Whether it was laughing at a good joke, or recounting old stories, those were the times she lived for. Along with laughter, she spent countless hours at a table, with her family, and friends playing games. There was never a gathering that she didn’t bring cards to just in case someone wanted to play hearts!

Martha is preceded in death by her parents and survived by two sons, Tabor (Monica) of Tucson, AZ and Josh (Grace), of Punta Gorda, FL. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Joshua Tyler, Elizabeth Elaine, and Jude Isaiah.

Services for Martha will be at Crestview Christian Church in Manhattan, KS Saturday, October 12th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please consider donations Crestview or Good Shepherd Homecare and Hospice.
