Lawrence James Woods, Jr., of Falls City, Nebraska, died Sunday evening, April 14, 2024 at Falls City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Falls City, at the age of 66.

Larry, as he was known by family and friends, was born August 26, 1957, in Puyallup, Washington, to Lawrence Sr., and Mary Ferne (Trapp) Woods. At a young age the family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where Larry was raised and graduated high school. He worked for various construction companies around Lincoln before starting his lifelong career in communications in 1984, retiring in 2023.

He was married and later divorced.

Larry is survived by daughters: Amber Siebenmorgen (Dan), Ashley Woods; sisters: Natalie Stege (Albert), Diane Garcia (Rene), grandchildren: Dalton, Jaydee and Jerrick; nephews, nieces and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Roddrick Woods, Michael Woods, Edward Florang, Vonnie Hageman, and Gay Dean Barber.

A Celebration of Larry- life is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Fairview United Church of Christ with Pastor Shane Spangler officiating.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha after 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services at Church
