Norman " Doyle" Simmons

Norman “Doyle” Simmons (93) of White Cloud, Kansas passed peacefully on February 21, 2024 after sharing goodbyes with loved ones. Doyle was born on November 27, 1930 to Fred and Grace (Nott) Simmons. Doyle was a member of the United States Marine Corps and served his country in the Korean War.

Doyle was a skilled mechanic, owning his own transmission shop in Raytown, MO. He was a member of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. In 1987, Doyle married the love of his life, Kathryn “Kay” Simmons.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Freddie Keenan, Jimmy Simmons, and Timmy Simmons, and his wife, Kathryn “Kay” Simmons. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Sally) Simmons, his daughter, Darla (Larry) Glunt, step-sons, Greg Morris, Jeff (Cindy) Morris, and Brian Morris, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday March 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the George Ogden Community Building, 3345 Thrasher Rd, White Cloud, Kansas 66094.

The family will meet with friends ½ hour prior to services at the Ogden Bulding.
