Esther LuElla (Shiveley) Moore

Esther LuElla (Shiveley) Moore, 92, of Rock Port, Missouri formerly of Nemaha, Nebraska was born on September 23, 1931, to Floyd and Georgia (Conover) Shiveley. She was the second eldest of 6 children born to this union. On October 26, 1952, Esther was united in marriage to Charles “Duroc” Moore in Humboldt, Nebraska by Rev. Ward Merrit. The couple lived and farmed in Nemaha County until 1972 when they moved to Nemaha. While living in Nemaha, Esther was a true stewardess of the community she loved. Esther for years cleaned the community building, maintained the city park, picked up trash on Highway 67 between Brownville and Nemaha, and belonged to every community committee there was. She was a member of the Christian Church in Nemaha and the Eastern Star Chapter in Brownville, Nebraska.

Esther passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Rock Port, Missouri having reached the earthly age of ninety-two years, five months, and two days. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Dorothy (John) Sierks, Betty (Bud) McMann, Lois (Ivan) Keene, Deloris (Everett) Shaw, brothers-in-law: Clyde (Margaret) Moore and Rev. Bill (Helen) Moore, and husband Charles “Duroc” Moore.

Esther is survived by her brother Donald “Buckshot” Shiveley and his wife Georgia “Sam” of Ashland, NE; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Hall Funeral Chapel, 707 15th Street in Auburn, Nebraska with Rev. Jim Corson officiating. Interment will immediately follow services at the Nemaha Cemetery in Nemaha.

Family of Esther will greet friends from 9-10:00 a.m. prior to services on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn.

Memorials contributions may be given to the family- choice with a later designation.
