Kenneth Eugene “Kenny” Frost, 76, of Nortonville, KS, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his home with family by his side. He was born February 4, 1948, in Topeka, KS, the son of Frank F. and Betty May (Hinckle) Frost.

Kenny graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1966 and attended Washburn University towards wanting to be a Coach.

He owned and operated Atchison Business Machines and Capital City Office Machines for many years. Then he continued to work for Ricoh until retirement. After retirement, Kenny transported residents for Nortonville nursing home.

Kenny was a member of the Nortonville Christian Church. He was a 50-year volunteer for the Nortonville Fire Department, First Responders, and Storm-Spotters retiring as Fire Chief. He was also a two-time past president for the Jefferson County Firefighter Association.

He married Glenda K. Marlatt on June 24, 1966, in Nortonville. She preceded him in death on November 27, 2021, after 55 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Betty Frost and a brother, Frank “Tommy” Frost.

Survivors include his son, Troy Frost (Jill) of Valley Falls, KS; daughter, Tiffany Dunham (Rob) of Osage City, KS; sister, Julie Hernandez of Topeka, KS; 2 brothers, Jim Frost (Addie) of Topeka, KS and Gary Jordan of Burlingame, KS; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Nortonville Christian Church. Burial will follow at the Nortonville Cemetery. Family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. He will lie-in-state at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until visitation time.
